"Cover Up...David's Sin"

How would you describe Davids treatment of women?

Do you think the church addresses this issue enough?  What should the church be saying?

What suggestions do you have for Christ-Followers to guard themselves in this 'sexually free' society?

Is chasity out of date?  Why?

What do you think of the follow sin quotes?

   Sin will take you further than you want to go.
   Sin will keep you longer than you want to stay.

   Sin is not about breaking rule, but about breaking God's heart.

     I'm convinced that David really depended on Uriah over the years and in order to cover up his own sin, he tried to manipulate his conviction of sin by putting Uriah in a very vulnerable position in battle, causing Uriah to lose his life.
     
     In 2 Samuel:39 the least David could do was to mention him (Uriah) in God's Hall of Fame as one his his truly Mighty Men.
